Description
This sixth plate clear glass ambrotype depicts a Confederate soldier nicely posed in an upright seated position. The soldier is wearing a frock coat that is open to reveal his vest, shirt, and tie. His cheeks are softly tinted, and his ring and buttons are gilded. The image is very clear and is in very fine condition. The image came out of the Fredericksburg area some years ago, and certainly has the look of a Virginian. If you like crisp Confederate images, you should consider this one. It is housed in a leatherette case with repaired spine.
