Description
Very nice sixth plate ambrotype of a Union private standing posed with his musket. His US belt plate, eagle plate, buttons and kepi buckle are gilded. His cheeks are lightly tinted. There is a cap box on his belt and a small part of his cartridge box is visible under the arm. The musket looks like a Springfield, with bayonet affixed. The image is in excellent condition and is housed in a complete leatherette case with repaired spine.
