Description
This beautiful US box plate is actually excavated. It was dug in Varina, Virginia in the 1960’s to 1970’s and was cleaned by the digger. From the back it is obvious that it was excavated. The condition is excellent and the plate is priced in accordance with the cleaning, as most diggers do not clean plates and buckles to this degree today. It is a great value, however, and displays well. It would add to any collection of Civil War accoutrements.
